Deliver
us from evil.

Why spread the Gospel?

The answer is simple and inescapable:

Jesus in the wilderness looking desolate

People will go to hell if we don't.

Jesus is necessary for heaven (John 14:6) and most do not follow him.

Hand reaching for help

Churches will die if we don't.

As many fall away, churches without converts get smaller, older and weaker (Luke 11:23).

Darkened world with network of lights

Jesus says so.

We are commanded, not politely requested, to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18-20).

Man falling backwards into the dark

We might go to hell if we don't.

If we don't love the lost, our faith is dead and useless (James 2:14-26, Matt 7:21-27).

Ruined and derelict church building

Jesus won't come back until we do.

Christ will return after all have heard the Gospel, not before (Acts 1:8).

"With none to heed their crying for life and love and light,
Unnumbered souls are dying and pass into the night...
From cowardice defend us, from lethargy awake,
Forth on thine errands send us, to labour for thy sake."

Post box in front of a church

But why go postal?

There's many ways to evangelise, and we aim to add to them, not replace any. We think postal evangelism can be great for many people because:

It's large-scale and systematic

A single person can reach hundreds of others where the need is greatest.

Smiling woman writing letters

Calm and non-confrontational.

You don't need to be socially confident or a public speaker, and no conflict is involved.

Empty mailbox

It's flexible and convenient.

Write however much you like, in your own style, at any time, from the comfort of your own home.

Stack of handwritten envelopes

But it's also personal.

Our handwritten mailings are distinct from 'junk mail' and build a human connection.

Relaxing letter writing by candlelight

It's highly under-utilised.

People tend to get nothing but bills through the letterbox - far quieter than the noise online.

Other methods may work better in some ways for some people, but this could be a key part of your balanced diet of evangelisation.

You could simply do this on your own - but if you do deliver with us, you can benefit from our data expertise, bulk purchase discounts, tips and resources, and community of prayer and fellowship.
